This alert follows a press release from Ant Bank, which reported the fraudulent site to the HKMA, according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

The HKMA has emphasized that legitimate banks will not send SMS or emails with embedded hyperlinks directing customers to the banks' websites to perform transactions. Additionally, banks will not request sensitive personal information, such as login passwords or One-Time Passwords, through phone calls, emails, or SMS messages containing embedded links.
