NVIDIA has announced the launch of the NVIDIA AI Data Platform, a pioneering solution designed to enhance enterprise infrastructure with advanced AI capabilities. This development marks a significant shift in how demanding AI inference workloads are handled, with the platform providing a customizable reference design for enterprise storage platforms, according to NVIDIA Newsroom.

Revolutionary AI Capabilities

The NVIDIA AI Data Platform empowers storage providers to build infrastructure featuring AI query agents that leverage NVIDIA's accelerated computing, networking, and software. These agents are instrumental in generating rapid and precise responses to complex queries, offering businesses the ability to derive insights from vast data sets in near real-time. This is facilitated through NVIDIA AI Enterprise software and the NVIDIA NIM™ microservices, which are essential for the new NVIDIA Llama Nemotron models with reasoning capabilities.

Industry Collaboration

Prominent data platform and storage providers, including DDN, Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Hitachi Vantara, IBM, NetApp, Nutanix, Pure Storage, VAST Data, and WEKA, are collaborating with NVIDIA to integrate the AI Data Platform into their systems. These collaborations aim to create customized AI data platforms capable of harnessing enterprise data to deliver accurate, context-aware responses to complex queries.

Enhanced Performance and Efficiency

The AI Data Platform incorporates NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, BlueField DPUs, and Spectrum-X networking, which collectively enhance the speed and efficiency of AI query agents accessing enterprise data. Notably, the BlueField DPUs deliver up to 1.6 times higher performance than traditional CPU-based storage solutions, while significantly reducing power consumption. This results in a more than threefold increase in performance per watt, with Spectrum-X accelerating AI storage traffic by up to 48% compared to conventional Ethernet.

Building the Future of AI Infrastructure

With the introduction of the AI Data Platform, NVIDIA aims to redefine the landscape of enterprise infrastructure. The platform supports the development of agentic systems capable of reasoning and connecting to enterprise data, utilizing the NVIDIA AI-Q Blueprint for enhanced data extraction and retrieval. This innovation is poised to revolutionize how businesses process and analyze structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from various sources.

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, emphasized the transformative potential of the AI Data Platform, stating, “Data is the raw material powering industries in the age of AI. With the world’s storage leaders, we’re building a new class of enterprise infrastructure that companies need to deploy and scale agentic AI across hybrid data centers.”

NVIDIA-Certified Storage providers are set to begin offering solutions developed with the AI Data Platform this month, marking a new era in AI-enabled enterprise infrastructure.
