NVIDIA Unveils RTX-Powered Tools to Accelerate AI Development at SIGGRAPH 2024

NVIDIA has unveiled a suite of new RTX-powered tools and applications aimed at accelerating AI development on PCs and workstations, according to NVIDIA Blog. The announcements were made at SIGGRAPH 2024, an annual conference at the intersection of graphics and AI.

ACE’s AI Magic

During a SIGGRAPH fireside chat, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang introduced “James,” an interactive digital human built on NVIDIA NIM microservices. James is a virtual assistant leveraging NVIDIA ACE technology, designed to enhance customer interactions with emotions, humor, and contextually accurate responses. Users will soon be able to interact with James in real-time at ai.nvidia.com.

NVIDIA also showcased advancements in the NVIDIA Maxine AI platform for telepresence, which includes Maxine 3D and Audio2Face-2D technologies. These tools enable developers to create more engaging and natural interactions across customer service, gaming, and other interactive experiences.

RTX Updates for Creators

NVIDIA GeForce RTX PCs and workstations are receiving significant upgrades with new GPU accelerations for enhanced AI content creation experiences. RTX Video HDR, now available through Wondershare Filmora and DaVinci Resolve, allows users to transform content into high dynamic range video with richer colors and greater detail.

For 3D artists, new AI applications and tools are streamlining workflows. Replikant is integrating NVIDIA Audio2Face for improved lip sync and facial animation, while Adobe Substance 3D Modeler has introduced AI-powered features to accelerate prototyping and design workflows.

Topaz AI has added NVIDIA TensorRT acceleration for multi-GPU workflows, enabling faster rendering speeds. Getty Images has updated its Generative AI by iStock service with improved image generation and quality, powered by NVIDIA Edify models.

LLM-azing AI

ChatRTX, a tech demo connecting large language models like Meta’s Llama to user data, is getting a user interface makeover. The new version uses the Electron + Material UI framework, simplifying the integration of different UIs and streamlining the building of chat and retrieval-augmented applications.

Developers can find the latest version of ChatRTX on its web page and source code on the ChatRTX GitHub repository. Meta Llama 3.1-8B models are now optimized for inference on NVIDIA GeForce RTX PCs and workstations, supported by NVIDIA TensorRT-LLM software.

Dell’s AI Chatbots

Dell is showcasing how enterprises can boost AI development with an optimized RAG chatbot using NVIDIA AI Workbench and NIM microservices for Llama 3. The chatbot can converse with enterprise data embedded in a local vector database, with inference running locally, in the cloud, or on self-hosted NIM microservices.

HP AI Studio

HP is presenting the Z by HP AI Studio, a centralized data science platform enhanced with the latest NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries and a partnership with Galileo. AI Studio aims to enhance productivity and streamline AI development, allowing data science teams to focus on innovation.

RTX Speed Surge for Stable Diffusion

Stable Diffusion 3.0, the latest model from Stability AI, has been optimized with TensorRT for a 60% speedup. A NIM microservice for Stable Diffusion 3 with optimized performance is available for preview on ai.nvidia.com.
