(Rejected) BitMEX Announces Roll Out of New Mobile Trading App In 140 Countries
BitMEX crypto derivatives exchange has announced that it is rolling out its first mobile trading app (BitMEX Mobile). The app can be downloaded via the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
BitMEX Committed to Enhance User Experience
The launch of the mobile app is part of the company’s recent push for new user experience on the crypto exchange. The app aims to give users full control of all account features.
The crypto exchange has a global audience, and many of them are mobile as they use mobile applications that enable them to access BitMEX’s services and products. Rolling out such a mobile app would, therefore, help the company increase its user base.
The mobile app provides BitMEX users with six new features. Withdrawals and deposits would be possible through the app interface. An ability to swipe on any page would allow users to manage their open positions. An intuitive web-order builder feature enables users to quickly create take profit, stop, and limit orders.
Moreover, the app provides access to real-time market data, as well as push notifications that provide users with important information about liquidation, deposit confirmation, deposit pending, among others.
Lastly, BitMEX has implemented user security measures including fingerprint scanning and included biometric authentication and login notifications in the app.
The launch of the mobile app follows a month-long pilot during which the crypto exchange trialed the BitMEX Mobile among traders in18 countries. The app would be available in over 140 countries to start.
The BitMEX Mobile is designed to work as a complementary device to the traditional desktop experience already offered to BitMEX users.
BitMEX Currently Running Identity Verification Programme
The app launch follows BitMEX’s plans to start asking clients to verify their identities this month. The crypto exchange announced plans to mandate ID verifications for all users. The ID verification programme began as from 28 August as users are expected to provide proof of locations, among other things.
All customers are required to complete the ID checks on or before 12 February 2021. With the latest developments, BitMEX aims to offer a more reliable and secure trading environment for users. Ben Radcylffe, commercial director at BitMEX, said that the company has been encouraged by the general market response.
