Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System

This is the document that sparked the beginning of the blockchain space. In 2008, the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto released his whitepaper describing Bitcoin and how it would act as a decentralized digital currency completely governed by the principles of mathematics. The term blockchain would also be derived from this whitepaper later on and give birth to the ecosystem that continues to thrive today. The community continues to make innovations to improve the technology based on the foundations laid out by Nakamoto. Although no one knows his true identity, the community will remember the great contributions he has made to space.
