(Rejected) CoinGecko Launches Point-based Rewards Scheme for Users
Leading crypto data platform, CoinGecko has devised a loyalty rewards system for its users dubbed Candy. The CoinGecko candies are in points form as they are not yet tokens or cryptocurrencies.
Rewarding daily check-ins
Innovations are continuously streaming in the crypto data website arena as top players seek to maximize users’ satisfaction rates. The CoinGecko Candy rewards scheme comes nearly a month after CoinMarketCap introduced algorithmically ranked crypto trading pairs meant to eliminate volume inflation.
CoinGecko users will be rewarded with non-transferable points based on daily check-ins through the firm’s website or smartphone app for both Android and iOS. Their present use cases include being redeemed for CoinGecko store vouchers, some non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and the company’s How to DeFi book, among others.
According to the announcement, “Hoard them like a dragon and redeem them for freebies! Think of CoinGecko Candy as centralized loyalty points that are being given out to reward you for using CoinGecko.”
Nevertheless, the firm is looking at the candies as a stepping stone towards decentralization in the long run.
Future growth of rewards list
As per the report, “We are just getting started with the rewards list. The possibilities are endless, and we will most definitely be adding more exciting rewards in the near future!”
CoinGecko views the candies as a token of appreciation for its users as it presents crypto prices of at least 7,000 coins in real-time. The website also tracks open-source code development and major crypto events.
The firm avails an informative parameter that ranks coins based on liquidity, market capitalization, and public likeability. Users interested in the cryptocurrency mining space are provided with a mining calculator showing the time it will take to be profitable or break even. With stiff competition being witnessed in the crypto data provider sector, it seems the sky’s the limit.
