Coinbase eyed global expansion, including Hong Kong!

Coinbase announced its expansion over 11 countries according to its blog post published on 17 April.

The expansion covered Latin American and Southeast Asian countries such as Argentina, Peru, Mexico, India, Hong Kong, South Korea, Colombia, Indonesia, Philippines, Argentina, New Zealand and Chile. 

The exchange highlighted that cryptocurrencies are undergoing the change from the “investment phase” into “utility phase” as reflected by the new use cases of cryptocurrencies. Coinbase added “This could take the form of decentralized versions of traditional financial services like lending or micropayments or truly novel crypto applications that no one has even thought of yet. The ability to convert from one crypto to another will form the backbone of this new decentralized economy.”
