GBX Launched Tokenization Platform with STO Global-X

Gibraltar Blockchain Exchange (GBX) announced on April 5 that Gibraltar Stock Exchange Group (GSX Group) subsidiary Hashstacs Inc. will partner with STO Global-X – a Singapore-based exchange technology company to launch a tokenization platform. This platform is tailored for qualified financial institutions such as broken-dealers, stock exchanges and investment banks to tokenize assets, which aims to enable a smooth and efficient process of clearing, trading and settling of digital securities.
It is not the first time for both GSX Group and STO Global-X to make the moves in the security token sector. GSX Group had been partnered with Callaghan Insurance Broken last year to offer insurance to digital assets listed on its platform. In the same month, STO Global-X launched its security token platform - STO Global Exchange (STGX).
Hashstacs’ special feature is the Securities Asset Trading Classification Settlement (STACS) which includes an institutional-grade security token exchange and trading platform, alongside multi-factor authentication and military-grade encryption. Hashstacs aims to integrate STACS with STO Global-X’s tokenization platform and technology.
Such partnership reflects the promising outlook for security tokens. The benefits of security tokens such as higher liquidity, quicker settlement cycles, fractional ownership and dismissal of middlemen are believed to disrupt the entire capital market. The CEO of STO Global-X, Floy DCosta said “Operating at the junction of traditional finance and innovative financial technologies, security token exchange will radically transform the capital market world.”
