(Rejected) Near Protocol Partners with Google Cloud to Enhance Web3 DApps

Near Foundation announced a partnership between Layer-1 Blockchain Network Near Protocol and Google Cloud.

According to a blog it published recently, Google Cloud will provide "technical support" for NEAR grant recipients, providing NEAR's remote procedure call (RPC) node provider with the infrastructure to access NEAR's Web3 launch platform, Pagoda, enabling developers to build and scale their Web3 projects and decentralized application (dApps).

This collaboration will provide NEAR grant recipients technical support for decentralized applications and smart contracts to be able to access the cloud service provider's infrastructure.

Near Protocol is a dApp platform. Pagoda is the engineering team that builds and maintains the NEAR protocol and some of the most important tools needed for DApp development. Developers can use the Pagoda tool suite to build, deploy, test, and interact with smart contracts on NEAR.

Marieke Flament, CEO of NEAR Foundation, said that the partnership between NEAR Protocol and Google Cloud will open a new chapter.

Carlos Arena, director of digital assets at Google Cloud, said in a statement that the partnership will give NEAR developers a means to “build and scale,” adding that Google will continue to support “new products on the blockchain-based platform. and service".

In September, BNB Chain and Google Cloud established strategic cooperation, and up to 1,500 DApps residents will use the cloud's advanced analytics on-chain data in the former.

On September 13, Near Foundation, the Switzerland-based Non-Profit in charge of the Near Protocol launched a new $100 million Web3.0 fund.

Earlier in April, the Near Protocol, for the second time, raised the sum of $350 million in funding from investors that was led by Tiger Global. The funding rounds were aimed at bolstering the Near ecosystem.

In October 2020, Google Cloud joined the EOS blockchain as a block producer candidate.
