(Duplicated) Uzbekistan Bars Access to Unapproved Global Crypto Exchanges
Uzbekistan has issued an official statement banning access to foreign cryptocurrency exchanges through its citizens for unregistered transactions.

In May, the country’s president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, released a framework for regulating cryptocurrencies and designated the National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP) as the industry regulator.
According to the agency’s announcement, Uzbekistan restricted access to cryptocurrency exchanges and over-the-counter brokers. The reason is that various electronic platforms” do not have the required licenses officially approved to provide services for the trading and exchanging crypto assets.
It is, therefore, a violation of the country's laws, and therefore the websites of such global cryptocurrency exchanges are blocked in Uzbekistan.
The official directive reads:
“They have no legal responsibility for transactions with crypto-assets, and cannot guarantee the legitimacy of transactions, as well as the proper storage and protection of confidentiality of personal data of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”
Currently, Uzbek cryptocurrency investors do not have access to cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance, FTX and Huobi, citing that unlicensed centralized trading platform.
So far, the only exchange that has received this service is the local exchange UzNEX.
On June 28, Uzbekistan’s National Prospective Project Agency (NAPP) announced a requirement for cryptocurrency mining operators to only allow companies that use solar energy to mine Bitcoin (BTC) or other cryptocurrencies.
The executive order also requires any mining operator to obtain a certificate and register with the National Registry of Crypto Mining Companies
