Binance, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, will list EigenLayer (EIGEN) and open trading for new spot trading pairs on October 1, 2024, at 05:00 UTC, according to Binance's official announcement. The new pairs include EIGEN/BTC, EIGEN/USDT, EIGEN/FDUSD, and EIGEN/TRY.

Trading Details and Precautions

Deposits for EIGEN are already open, allowing users to prepare for trading. Withdrawals are set to commence on October 2, 2024, at 05:00 UTC. Notably, Binance has waived the listing fee for EIGEN. The token's smart contract address (ERC20) is 0xec53bF9167f50cDEB3Ae105f56099aaaB9061F83.

Binance has applied a seed tag to EIGEN, indicating it as a project with higher volatility and risk. Users must pass quizzes every 90 days on the Binance Spot and/or Binance Margin platforms to trade tokens marked with a seed tag. This measure ensures that traders are aware of the associated risks.

Understanding EigenLayer (EIGEN)

EigenLayer is a protocol built on Ethereum, introducing restaking as a new primitive in cryptoeconomic security. This feature allows for the reuse of ETH on the consensus layer, enhancing the protocol's functionality.

Important Notes

Given its newness, EIGEN is expected to experience significant price volatility. Binance advises users to conduct thorough research and practice effective risk management before trading. The seed tag, applied to EIGEN, signifies innovative projects that may exhibit higher volatility and risks compared to other listed tokens.

Trading Eligibility

Trading of these new pairs is subject to restrictions based on the user's country or region of residence. Currently, users from Canada, Cuba, Crimea Region, Iran, Netherlands, North Korea, Syria, the United States and its territories, and non-government controlled areas of Ukraine are restricted from trading these pairs. This list may be updated periodically due to changes in legal, regulatory, or other relevant factors.
