BNB Chain Launches New TVL Incentive Program with 50,000 BNB Support
BNB Chain has unveiled the latest iteration of its Total Value Locked (TVL) Incentive Program, designed to enhance staking activities and boost the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem on its platform. According to BNB Chain, the program aims to reward the top five protocols with substantial BNB staking support, amounting to a total cap of 50,000 BNB.
Program Overview
This initiative, centered around BNB staking, liquid staking, and restaking on the BNB Smart Chain, is set to run a competitive campaign from January 21 to February 21, 2025. The top five protocols will receive direct BNB staking support, with the results announced by February 28, 2025.
The BNB Chain Foundation has committed to providing delegation support equivalent to up to 5% of each protocol's incremental staked BNB, with a cap of 20,000 BNB per protocol. The total delegation support for the campaign is limited to 50,000 BNB.
Competition and Evaluation
Participants will be evaluated based on four key indicators: incremental staked BNB, percentage growth of staked BNB, incremental TVL, and percentage growth of TVL. Each indicator carries a specific weight, contributing to the overall ranking of the protocols.
Protocols must also meet specific benchmarks, including completing at least two security audits, achieving a minimum of $10 million in TVL, and undergoing a security and risk management review by the BNB Chain Foundation.
Incentives and Participation
The program encourages protocols to launch their own reward and incentive campaigns to enhance user benefits. Participation is optional, with interested protocols required to agree to additional terms and conditions to qualify for the program.
The BNB Chain team emphasized that participation should not be seen as an endorsement by the BNB Chain or any affiliated entity. The team also reserves the right to disqualify projects engaging in fraudulent activities or market manipulation.
