Common Ground World Introduces Node Workload NFT V2

Gala Games has announced the rollout of the second phase of distribution for Common Ground World Node Workload NFTs, transitioning to a new V2 version. This update is expected to impact guild operations and $DIRT distribution within the Common Ground World ecosystem, according to Gala News.

The initial distribution of Common Ground World Node Workload NFTs encountered a miscalculation, leaving 97 users without the necessary NFTs for their existing Town Star Nodes. To correct this and facilitate the development of upgradable Node Workload NFTs, Gala Games will issue new V2 Node Workload NFTs. These new NFTs will function identically to the existing versions, ensuring users continue to accumulate $DIRT daily, regardless of whether they hold a V1 or V2 NFT. However, guilds in Common Ground World will need the new V2 NFTs to operate.

Updating Your Node Workload NFTs

Starting July 29th at 10am PT, users can find the V2 Node Workload NFTs in the Common Ground World Store. The acquisition process will involve an even exchange of one V1 NFT for one V2 NFT. Upon opening the exchange, all guilds in Common Ground World will be temporarily disbanded until guild owners exchange their V1 NFTs for V2 NFTs to reassemble their guilds.

This exchange remains optional for users who do not intend to use their Node Workload NFT as a guild, as both V1 and V2 versions will be functionally identical in their wallets for the time being. The duration for this exchange has not been specified, and users can exchange V1 NFTs purchased from secondary markets for V2 versions. Gala Games will provide significant advance notice if the exchange window is closing, along with the necessary next steps.

NOTE: Users must have a V2 Node Workload NFT in their GalaChain wallet to use it in-game. However, all Common Ground World Node Workload NFTs will continue to receive $DIRT distribution, regardless of whether they are V1 or V2.
