Hong Kong Prepares for Second Green Week Focusing on Sustainability

Hong Kong is set to host its second Green Week from September 8 to 12, focusing on sustainability and climate change initiatives, according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). This year's theme is 'Forging a Sustainable Future Together', and the event aims to provide a platform for dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders from various sectors.

Focus on Sustainability and Climate Change

The week-long Green Week will explore a wide range of sustainability-related topics. It will feature discussions on transitioning to low-carbon, resilient, and inclusive growth in the Asia Pacific region. The event is expected to attract participants from multiple regions and sectors, facilitating a comprehensive exchange of ideas and strategies.

Climate Business Forum: Asia Pacific 2025

During the event, the HKMA, in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation, will co-host the Climate Business Forum: Asia Pacific 2025. This forum will gather leading experts in sustainable business and finance to delve into key issues affecting the region's sustainable transition. Attendees can expect to engage with influential speakers and gain insights into innovative practices in sustainability.

Expanded Program of Events

In addition to the anchor forum, the HKMA plans to coordinate an array of other events, including conferences, roundtables, workshops, and networking sessions. These events will be hosted by international organizations, financial institutions, corporates, industry associations, and academic institutions, among others.
