With businesses beginning to adopt blockchain, hiring talent and investing in the future of new technology, 2020 could indeed be a very strong year for growth. The skills that are in demand follow programming and computer science as key elements, however, sales and marketing in the industry will also follow suit, to advertise and push awareness for the new developing tech shown alongside Blockchain on the in-demand list according to the job and professional networking site LinkedIn.

In the new report analyzing user profiles, research stated that “blockchain — tops the list of most in-demand hard skills for 2020.”

Countries including the USA, UK, France, Germany, and Australia were found to be the top hiring nations searching for talent in this new technology field. The demand for skills was determined by measuring demand relative to supply, combining LinkedIn profiles of users who are getting hired at the highest rates, referencing cities with over 100,000 members to conclude the evaluation.

Blockchain has continued to grow across all sectors globally, with further adoption has been observed as companies value the potential in what blockchain can bring, as well as the growth it could add to growing a business from local to global, including cross border transactions, lower and faster fees as well as improved security. Programming offers businesses a cost-cutting platform, by allowing processes to be streamlined and made available 24/7 without the need for overhead costs.

Large tech businesses including Amazon, IBM, Dish Networks and Microsoft have all invested and continue to research what the technology can provide for users. With many now seeking top talent to develop the next applications and services that can implement the potential of the technology for day to day use.
