Mirandus Playtest: Hunt for the Golden Rabbit Begins

Gala Games has announced the commencement of a new playtest for their game Mirandus, starting on August 27 at 7 am PT. The playtest introduces an all-new zone called the Rolling Hills, where players can gather resources, craft weapons, and hunt prey, according to Gala News.

How to Participate

Any holder of an Exemplar will be able to join this playtest. Regardless of the specific type of Exemplar held, all character models will be represented as humans for this event. Players will start with minimal equipment and resources, requiring them to live off the land and gather resources to grow in power and achieve their objectives.

For newcomers, a control guide will be available in the top left of the screen. The Rolling Hills offer a variety of opportunities for exploration and experimentation, but players should be wary of the dangers that lurk in this perilous land. Should a character die, they can respawn and continue their adventure.

New Features and Expectations

Gala Games has been making incremental advances to various backend systems, aiming to enable more rapid development and larger strides in the future. This playtest is primarily focused on testing the loop of harvesting, crafting, and hunting. The Rolling Hills zone is equipped with all the resources players need to craft weapons and gather materials.

While previously available zones will return in future playtests, this one is focused solely on the hunt. Rumors suggest that an additional zone may be accessible for those who push their Exemplars to the limit.

The Quest for the Golden Rabbit

Players should keep an eye out for the elusive Golden Rabbit, which carries a precious ruby. The goal is to capture this ruby, earning players The Covenant of the Wild NFT, an original limited art NFT created by the Mirandus team. All participants will also receive another limited NFT called A Terrifying Sight.

However, the Golden Rabbit is not easily caught. It will respawn with a fresh ruby after being killed, providing multiple opportunities for players to achieve their objective.

Playtest Duration

The playtest will continue throughout the week, concluding on Friday afternoon. Players are encouraged to track their quarry patiently and persistently, as the Golden Rabbit is elusive but attainable.
