NVIDIA AI Summit DC Highlights AI’s Role in Tackling Global Challenges
Washington, D.C., is set to host NVIDIA’s AI Summit from October 7-9, bringing together industry leaders to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can address some of society’s most pressing challenges. The event will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and JW Marriott, focusing on AI's potential to drive advancements in healthcare, cybersecurity, manufacturing, and more, according to the NVIDIA Blog.
Key Speakers and Sessions
The summit will feature 50 sessions, live demos, and hands-on workshops covering generative AI, remote sensing, cybersecurity, robotics, and industrial digitalization. Notable speakers include Bob Pette, NVIDIA’s vice president of enterprise platforms, who will deliver a keynote on October 8. Pette will discuss how NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platform is driving advancements in sensor processing, autonomous systems, and digital twins.
Greg Estes, vice president of corporate marketing and developer programs at NVIDIA, will also speak about the company’s AI platform and its role in empowering millions of developers worldwide. Estes will highlight NVIDIA’s workforce development programs, which provide hands-on training and certifications through the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.
Lisa Einstein, chief AI scientist at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), will present a session titled “Navigating the Future of Cyber Operations with AI,” offering insights into AI’s role in transforming cyber operations and securing national infrastructure. Sheri Bachstein, CEO of The Weather Company, and Helena Fu, director at the U.S. Department of Energy, will discuss AI-driven solutions for environmental challenges and national security.

More than 60 sessions will delve into critical topics such as generative AI, sustainable computing, and AI policy. Kari Briski, NVIDIA’s vice president of generative AI software product management, will discuss the impact of NVIDIA’s generative AI platform. Rev Lebaredian, vice president of Omniverse and simulation technology at NVIDIA, will cover the future of physical AI, robotics, and autonomy.
Renee Wegrzyn, director of ARPA-H, and Rory Kelleher, global business development leader for healthcare and life sciences at NVIDIA, will explore AI-enabled healthcare. Tanya Das from the Bipartisan Policy Center will examine AI’s role in driving scientific discovery, economic growth, and national security.
Live demos will showcase innovations like NVIDIA’s Earth-2 climate forecasting tool, advancements in quantum computing, and robotics. A panel of NVIDIA experts, including Nikki Pope and Leon Derczynski, will discuss tools ensuring safe and responsible AI deployment. Hands-on technical workshops will offer certifications in data science, generative AI, and other essential skills for the future workforce.
