NVIDIA and Microsoft have announced an expanded collaboration aimed at supporting artificial intelligence (AI) startups globally, with an initial emphasis on healthcare and life sciences sectors. This initiative was revealed at the HLTH healthcare innovation conference, according to the NVIDIA Blog.
Comprehensive Support for AI Startups
The partnership integrates NVIDIA's Inception program with Microsoft for Startups, offering a range of benefits designed to enhance access to accelerated computing. These include cloud credits, AI development software, and expert guidance. The first phase targets digital health and life sciences companies, with plans to extend support to other industries in the future.
Microsoft for Startups will provide $150,000 in Azure credits and up to $200,000 in business tools to each selected company. Additionally, startups will gain priority access to Microsoft's Pegasus Program, which offers go-to-market support.
NVIDIA Inception will offer 10,000 inference credits for running GPU-optimized AI models, preferred pricing on NVIDIA AI Enterprise, and early access to new healthcare offerings. Startups will also have opportunities to connect with investors through the Inception VC Alliance.

Several companies are already benefiting from the combined resources of NVIDIA and Microsoft. Artisight, a smart hospital startup, uses AI to enhance operational efficiency and patient care. Its network includes over 2,000 cameras and microphones, utilizing NVIDIA's AI solutions like Riva and DeepStream.
Another example is Pangaea Data, which aids healthcare organizations in identifying untreated patients using its PALLUX platform. This platform, leveraging NVIDIA GPUs on Azure, has significantly improved patient screening and treatment outcomes.

The collaboration between NVIDIA and Microsoft extends beyond startups, aiming to bolster healthcare and life sciences projects with generative AI and accelerated computing. This effort includes access to NVIDIA Clara on Azure, a comprehensive suite of resources for medical research and drug discovery.
