NVIDIA Unveils Blackwell Ultra AI Platform to Revolutionize AI Reasoning
NVIDIA has announced the launch of its new Blackwell Ultra AI factory platform, a significant step forward in AI reasoning technology. The unveiling took place during the GTC event, marking a pivotal moment for AI applications worldwide, according to NVIDIA Newsroom.
Enhanced Performance and Scalability
The Blackwell Ultra platform is built on NVIDIA's previously introduced Blackwell architecture and is designed to enhance training and test-time scaling inference. This enables organizations to accelerate applications such as AI reasoning, agentic AI, and physical AI. The platform includes the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 rack-scale solution and the NVIDIA HGX B300 NVL16 system, delivering 1.5 times more AI performance than its predecessor, the GB200 NVL72.
Jensen Huang, NVIDIA's founder and CEO, highlighted the platform's versatility, stating, “AI has made a giant leap — reasoning and agentic AI demand orders of magnitude more computing performance.” The GB300 NVL72 system connects 72 Blackwell Ultra GPUs and 36 Arm Neoverse-based NVIDIA Grace CPUs, offering unprecedented compute capacity for AI models.
Global Adoption and Support
Leading technology firms such as Cisco, Dell Technologies, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise are expected to integrate Blackwell Ultra-based products into their offerings starting in the second half of 2025. Further, cloud service giants like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure will provide Blackwell Ultra-powered instances, showcasing the platform's widespread adoption and potential impact.
Innovations in AI Infrastructure
The Blackwell Ultra systems are designed to seamlessly integrate with NVIDIA's networking solutions, including the Spectrum-X Ethernet and Quantum-X800 InfiniBand platforms. This integration ensures optimal performance, reducing latency and enabling efficient handling of AI reasoning models. Additionally, NVIDIA's BlueField-3 DPUs enhance network capabilities, offering multi-tenant networking and real-time threat detection.

NVIDIA has also introduced the Dynamo open-source inference framework, designed to scale reasoning AI services and improve throughput while lowering response times and model serving costs.
