Digibyte is a public blockchain. Like bitcoin, its transaction is UTXO (unspent transaction output) based. In the bitcoin network, it takes an average of 10 minutes to create a new blockchain. For Digibyte, the block time is 15 Seconds. Although Digibyte thinks of its faster block time as an advantage, apparently bitcoin’s 10 minutes block time is well designed.
