Binance Adds Bitcoin Ordinals to NFT Marketplace
Binance has announced that it will soon support Bitcoin ordinals, also known as Bitcoin NFTs, on its NFT marketplace. This will expand Binance’s multichain NFT ecosystem to include the Bitcoin network. Bitcoin ordinals have been on the rise, with over 3 million inscriptions as of May 1, but they remain a controversial topic in the crypto community.
Bitget Launches Blockchain4Youth Initiative
Bitget has announced the launch of its new corporate social responsibility project, Blockchain4Youth, which will provide blockchain courses and certifications, host campus lectures in partnership with universities worldwide, and incubate innovative projects by young entrepreneurs. The initiative will commence with a series of campus lectures on Web3 held in universities across Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand. Bitget plans to allocate $10 million over five years towards this project.
Coinbase vs SEC: Legal Battle Heats Up
The US Court of Appeals has ordered the SEC to respond to Coinbase’s writ of mandamus within 10 days. The largest US cryptocurrency exchange filed a lawsuit in April requesting regulatory clarity, but has faced increased enforcement and warnings from the SEC, leading to a downgraded rating by Citigroup.
Coinbase executive discovers ChatGPT jailbreak
Coinbase executive Conor Grogan claims to have found a “jailbreak” for AI tool ChatGPT, allowing it to calculate the probability of strange crypto price scenarios. ChatGPT gave a 15% chance that Bitcoin will fall to irrelevancy by 2035, and a 20% chance of the same for Ether.

The Hong Kong Securities Futures Commission (SFC) plans to release guidelines for cryptocurrency exchange licensing next month, in support of trading services to retail investors by June 1. AML/KYC regulatory requirements were key considerations in the consultation process. Some trading platforms have already received licenses, while others have chosen to cease operations.
Google Ads Used in $4M Crypto Phishing Scam
Scammers have stolen over $4 million in cryptocurrency from users falling for phishing websites promoted on Google Ads, according to blockchain analytics by ScamSniffer. The fraudulent websites prompt wallet login signature requests that compromise users’ addresses, and have targeted decentralized finance protocols, websites and brands. Metadata from some of the phishing websites has been linked to advertisers in Ukraine and Canada, who bypass Google’s ad review process by manipulating the Google Click ID parameter and using anti-debugging methods. ScamSniffer estimates that scammers spent around $15,000 on advertising which provided a return on their investments of 276%, given the $4 million stolen to date.
Bitget Pledges $10 Million for Fetch.ai Ecosystem
Bitget, a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, has pledged $10 million towards the development of the Fetch.ai ecosystem. Fetch.ai provides infrastructure for autonomous services and features an AI agent network and smart wallet.
